In the song "Heart of Worship" by Matt Redman, one of the lines reads "I'll bring You more than a song, for a song in itself is not what you have required". As a worship leader, I can relate to what Matt is saying to the Lord. The goal of our praise team is to bring our congregation both as a group and as individuals into God's presence. We want Him to know that He is the most important part of our lives. I have told our church that if I ever seem guilty of "just singing songs" rather than seeking an intimate relationship with God through music to call me out on the issue! I love to sing praises to the Lord but at LWWC it is all about Him and not about us. Come visit us soon.
